Who we are
“Equal Measures” is a network of specialists in equality and diversity. We have worked in this field for many years, both individually and jointly.  Our aim is to give practical help to organisations who wish to improve how they provide equal opportunities and manage diversity in employment or service delivery.
Our principal consultants are Sue Scott and Mary Coussey.

Sue Scott has been an independent equality consultant since leaving the Commission for Racial Equality (CRE) in 1998.  A chartered occupational psychologist, she specialised at the CRE in issues of fair selection and assessment.  She has wide experience of advising organisations on equality in both employment and service delivery, and on the design and implementation of effective equality monitoring procedures.  She has written guidance on impact assessment for the Disability Rights Commission and on ethnic monitoring for the CRE, as part of those bodies’ guidance packages in connection with the introduction of statutory equality duties. She has carried out numerous equality impact assessments, and has extensive experience of undertaking quantitative and qualitative studies in the field of equality and diversity.
